people say to put a clean mascara brush, dip it in olive oil, and swipe it on your eyelashes before you go to bed. but i were CRT lenses/contacts. (CRT contacts are contacts were you sleep with them at night, and when you take them off in the morning, you can see cleary) so i%26#039;m afraid that the oil will some how get in my eyes with my contacts on.. what do i do? and i have to wear my contacts.
Longer, thicker eyelashes?
Use cover girls Lash Blast volume blasting mascara it holds up great and it gives amazing volume too.
Longer, thicker eyelashes?
That is just a myth. Like the hair growth rate and volume on your head and the rest of your body, eyelash growth (length %26amp; volume) is also part of your genetic disposition. If you put oil on your lashes, not only can it get into your eyes, leaving it on for prolonged period of time will result in little light yellowish-white bumps on the inner rims of your eyes (the skin part that%26#039;s between your lashes and the inside of your eyes). And it will eventually seap through into your contacts as well, making it blurry and uncomfortable to wear. That%26#039;s my personal experience, so don%26#039;t do it.
You can achieve the longer, thicker lash look by first applying a lengthening mascara and then a volumizing mascara (Maybelline%26#039;s XXL mascara uses a similar concept).
Reply:I have heard people have success with Revitalash http://www.revitalash.com/ but it is $150!! So I will not be trying it out! I also read that they are working on a new drug to promote eyelash growth. With all the cures they could be finding, this seems completely stupid ... let%26#039;s cure cancer before we worry about eyelashes. As for olive oil, yes, it will get under your contacts and everything will be a smeary, blurry mess. Just don%26#039;t use waterproof mascara and you should be ok. :)

Reply:the length of your eyelashes depends on how it naturally is, they dont grow like hair. applying and finding the right mascara will make your eyelashs look thicker and long. practice makes perfect. alot of times the smaller brush is better to apply mascara with. you get get better details and undoo the clumps. i use the one with a pinkish color bottle with a green lid. and usually applying another layer of mascara ater the 1st one has dried makes them look thicker, or sometmes usuing a eyelast curler after applying mascara helps to make them look longer and thiner.
