How old do you think kids can wear makeup?

Im 12 (going to 7th grade next year)and my mom says im too young to wear make up in public i mean I just want the eyeliner thats it no blush eyeshadow. just cover up(which I already wear) lipstick and eyeliner. Im trying to prove her wrong and say that its not bad to wear eyeliner out in public.
How old do you think kids can wear makeup?
wear just a little in 7th grade then in 8th grade start to wear more
How old do you think kids can wear makeup?
Everyone in my school was wearing makeup when they were 12.(I%26#039;m in 8th next year.)

As long as you don%26#039;t look fake,you%26#039;re fine.
Reply:I think 12 is a good age. I started to wear makeup at that age.
Reply:Okay, well I%26#039;m 13 year%26#039;s old.And my mom doesn%26#039;t really approve of me wearing black eyeliner.Because,It make%26#039;s me look wayy older than I am.So,Otherwise.I think 12 is the youngest to wear eyeliner :/.%26amp;+ to start wearing make-up it can be like at 11 being the youngest.
Reply:7th grade is too young to wear eyeliner

you%26#039;ll look like a young hooker

eyeliner is a older , more sophisticated , sometimes harsher look

you have to listen to your Mom
Reply:omg its just make up im 12 also and just wondering dont u need to be like older but nevermind anyways i think its ok but my mom probably wouldnt let me either ive never asked...i just put it on after i get dropped off i mean everyone at school wears it
Reply:12 is a good age play around with diffrent looks with your makeup and not to dark and see if she can even notice. my husband can never tell im wearing makeup other than my mascara
Reply:eyeliner is okay, i started wearing it at the end of 6th sixth gradde. but cover-up is a lot with lipstick and blush. i`d say just wear eyeliner and ull get a bigger bolder eye.
Reply:i wore eyeliner in 6th grade. its no big deal just make sure u put it on right and dont look like a racoon. but eyeliner, conceler, and mascara is all fine. dont wear lipstick im a freshman and dont wear lipstick. i prefer a lip gloss or just a plain chapstick from Gap. it really makes my lips shiny looking/ good luck. tell your mom we arnt living in the 20th centry.
Reply:i think maybe in 8th grade

or 13 yrs old
Reply:I think it%26#039;s best if you wear little makeup at your young age such as eyeliner, eyeshadows, lipsticks, lipgloss, mascara, etc. But no face makeup bcuz at ur age ur skin is too young and hasn%26#039;t %26quot;matured%26quot; yet completely. But when u turn 16, I think that%26#039;s the PERFECT age to wear makeup bcuz ur skin is now matured at that time.

Hope this helps! ^ _ ^
Reply:When I was 12, in sixth grade, I wore SOME makeup.

I wore:

*neutral(pinks, tans, light browns) eye shadow.

*Light pink, peachy blush.

*Cover up.

*lip gloss.

Try wearing this little, then ask next year for mascara and eye liner.

Good Luck!
Reply:well i started around 11 or 12ish... but nothing major, some lipgloss and some eye shadow. but im 15 now and im kinda getting into the other stuff like foundation, powder, concealer, blush, and so on. so i would say... probably 13 or 14

ohh, and honestly, i would listen to your mom. i thought the same way to, and trust me. you probably would end up looking like your 16 or something. if really want to wear eyeliner though, go for a dark brown. pretty much the same.
Reply:Use brown or forest green eyeliner instead. It%26#039;s less harsh. And wear a clear lipgloss and clear mascara rather than lipstick and black mascara. Matte lipstick is too much for anyone under eighteen. I think you shouldn%26#039;t defy your mom; instead, just show her that you can wear make-up naturally.
Reply:i%26#039;d wait till you%26#039;re at least over 13 to wear make up

you%26#039;re way too young to be thinking about wearing make up, believe me !

don%26#039;t listen to the people that are your age, because they are just thinking the same as you,

listen to older people answerng your question

i%26#039;d really listen to your mom !

the younger you wear it, the worse your skin will become as you get much older.

yeah that doesn%26#039;t apply to you now, but you%26#039;ll be glad later when your skin doesnt age as much.

plus if i ever see children your age with make up on, i think it looks really cheap and tacky on them

people just look and think %26#039;why have they got make up on at that age?%26#039;

i%26#039;d really listen to your mom

you don%26#039;t need makeup at that age

you haven%26#039;t got boys to impress at that age either

and at 12, boys really don%26#039;t give a damn whether a girl has makeup on or not

even at my age, guys prefer girls without make up !

wait until you%26#039;re a bit older

you don%26#039;t want people thinking stuff like i put earlier about you do you?

and this is coming from me, who is currently a make up artist !

there is no need !

i%26#039;m sure you look beautiful without it :)
Reply:i started wearing makeup when i%26#039;m 15.... (i%26#039;m 15 this year)

and all i wear is pressed face powder %26amp; lipgloss... its okay if you wear eyeliner whe youre 12 but thats all.. you dont need anything else... show your youthful skin while you still have it...dont wear lipstick coz its better if you wear it when youre older... i only wear eyeliner for special occasions... =)
Reply:I think 16 and over is an ok time to start wearing all the make up. Lip gloss is ok at 12 and older, mascara is ok to start wearing at 14-15 and older.
Reply:12 is too young. I agree with your mom. You%26#039;re young enjoy your youth. Wearing makeup makes you appear older and attract the wrong crowd of people. You will have the rest of your life to wear makeup. Take your mom%26#039;s advice she knows what she%26#039;s saying.
Reply:I started wearing make up when I was 11, and if you only apply eyeliner lightly, it won%26#039;t give you a harsh line around your eyes. The more prominent the lines, the more it tends to make you look older. So if you%26#039;re going to use it, just lightly apply it, so that your eyes will still be defined, and you%26#039;ll look your age.
